Calvary Ministries CAPRO has worked in Mozambique since 2006. Although Mozambique is not a Muslim country, the Northern part of this country of 22 million has large groups of Muslim peoples.

CAPRO used to operate her primary mission base in Chimoio in the South (and we still have a presence there) but with our primary ministry focus turning to the Muslims in the North, we have set up another mission base in Nampula, which is the largest Muslim city in the North, with a population of approximately 800,000 people. CAPRO entered Nampula in June 2015 with a vision to see a church-planting movement occur among the Muslims of Northern Mozambique. The first step has been to target the 5 major Muslim tribes inside Nampula who would then go out to the various Muslim regions with the Gospel of Christ.

In addition to our personal evangelism programs and regular prayer journeys through the land, our team has been very active in training pastors and leaders who can reach Muslims and train others. We have a goal to train 8,000 leaders/ trainers and by God’s grace we have been able to train 5,000 already. As a result of this training to reach Muslims, churches have been planted already in so many Muslim communities and the movement is growing rapidly, such that our workers cannot cope with the demands for more training and monitoring of the churches being planted. All of Mozambique is very wide open to CAPRO.

In one of their evangelistic outreaches, our brethren shared Christ with a lady who was a convert to Islam from Christianity and had been a Muslim for over 20 years and was married to a fundamentalist Muslim. To God’s glory, when she heard the Word of God, God touched her heart and she turned her life back to Christ.

PRAY THAT GOD WILL BIRTH A CHURCH-PLANTING MOVEMENT IN NORTHERN MOZAMBIQUE, STARTING WITH NAMPULA.

PRAY FOR GOD’S RAPID EMPOWERMENT OF MOZAMBICANS WHO CAN REACH OUT AND ENGAGE MUSLIMS.
